On the morning of 8th. December 1941, Japanese troops landed on the beaches of Kuala Pak Amat,Sabak. This was the beginning of the 2nd World War (1941-1945).

The history of the 'Surprise Assault' and the Japanese Occupation of Kelantan is now preserved in this museum which was used by the Japanese as the Headquaters of their Kempetai (Secrect Police).

The building was built in 1912 by the Mercantile Bank and after the war was taken over by the Hongkong and Shanghai Bank.

The museum was the oldest bricks building in Kelantan (built in 1912) and currently it housed the memorabilia of Japanese occupation and related documents about the war.Don't miss the chance to see the replica of British "Pill Box" and some of the bicycles used by Japanese troops when they marched toward victory in the then malaya.
